The Road to a Friend's House
The dyed background is the basis for the folk-art type fusible houses. The center panel is a rectangular piece of freehand rotary cutting and weaving and represents a type of Central Park. Stamps were used for the saying, "The Road to a Friend's House is Never Long". The path was first quilted linking the houses and then micro stippling filled in the remaining area. Bushes, flowers, shrubs and trees are added as I have observed everyone has a different green thumb. Original design
