Lattice and Tendrils
Lattice and Tendrils is an original 38"x38" art piece with the lattices of Japanese style fabrics in colorwash fashion. The background and the tendrils fabric is dyed by Melody Johnson of Illinois. Free form tendrils have been machine appliqued and beadwork added. Heavy threads are machine couched. Variegated rayon sulky thread completes the machine quilting. This was exhibited with the quilt group at the Art Quilt Exhibit at the Heritage Gallery, Des Moines, Iowa, September 2000. Exhibited at Depot Street Gallery, Elgin, Texas, March and April, 2001.
